Group & Private Piano/Keyboard Lessons

Level 1

Mondays 3:30 - 4:30 – August 25 - December 15 (no class on Labor Day)
Fridays 3:30 - 4:30 – August 29 - December 12

Level 2

Level 2 Keyboard continues from the past school year.
Mondays 4:45 - 5:45 – August 25 - December 15 (no class on Labor Day)
Tuesdays 3:30 - 4:30 – August 26 - December 9

Children learn to play the piano in a fun, interactive group environment. Emphasis is on learning to read music, basic music theory, playing fun/familiar songs, and learning how to compose and improvise. We use the Faber and Faber Lesson/Theory Series. Each child has their own composition/improvisation notebook. The group setting enables children to learn from one another. Practicing becomes fun, and children motivate and inspire one another. A playful environment is created in a structured setting.

This class is intended as an introductory program – establishing the inspiration and love for playing the piano in a fun, creative environment.

Each child has their individual keyboard during lesson time. Families will need to either have a piano or keyboard at home on which to practice. Classes meet once weekly for one hour with Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions available. Summer sessions will be improvisation/composition workshops only.

Class Size:

• Class size is limited to 5 children (6 and up) with one teacher.
• Parents do not stay (although parents/caregivers are welcome to stay until their child feels comfortable).

Tuition:

• $300 for 15 weeks, plus books/supplies for new students (approximately $20.00).
• One-time $15.00 registration fee for new families.

Discounts:

• $10.00 discount off tuition for returning families (from previous semester only).
• New referral discounts (see below).
• Registration deadline for returning families is June 1 in order to receive discounts.

New Referral Discount Policy:

• Refer 2 Families – Receive 15% off tuition
• Refer 3 Families – Receive 50% off tuition
• Refer 4 Families – Tuition FREE!

To be eligible for referral discount, families must be new to the Kindermusik® Program with Mountain Song Music Studio, Inc. Families must all register within the same semester. Referred/referring families must register for the full semester. Not available with other discounts.

Make-Up Classes:

• Due to the structure of the class, make-up classes are determined on a space-available basis.

Refund Policy:

• 100% before 1st class, up to 2 weeks prior to start date.
• After 2 weeks prior to start date and between 1st and 2nd class – tuition minus $75.00 fee.
• No refunds after 2nd class.

Private Piano Lessons

Limited half-hour slots are available, meeting once weekly. Tuition is $25.00 per half-hour lesson, paid on a monthly basis. Children learn to read music, play by ear, sight-read, learn the fundamentals of music theory, and learn to compose/improvise. Call for availability: (303) 413-1120.
